Corrections, questions, data requests, or want to argue about wOBA? Write in.
The way to reach MLBAnalytic is email:
What to write about:
- Corrections. If a number looks wrong, say which article and what you’re seeing. Every figure here names the dataset and the date it came from, so a correction takes minutes to check rather than an argument to settle.
- Data requests. Want a specific leaderboard, chart, or question dug into? Pitch it.
- Reuse. The datasets behind the charts are served from this site — see About & Methodology for where they live and how each one was built.
- Methodology questions. Why that Pythagorean exponent, why those wOBA weights, why that sample window — those get a real answer, and often a follow-up article.
What to include
For a correction, the article URL and the figure you’re disputing are enough; if you have recomputed it yourself, say which file and which date you used, since a lot of apparent disagreements are two different snapshots of a live season. There is no newsletter, no account to create, and no form to fill in — plain email is the way in, and replies come from the same address.
Response time
Replies come in days rather than minutes. Corrections jump the queue: a wrong number on a page is the one thing here worth interrupting anything else for.
How the site is written and who runs it: how this site is made.
